Personal Background

I studied Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Engineering with the focus on power engineering at RWTH Aachen University. During my studies, I completed a research stay at the Central University of Technology in Bloemfontein (South Africa) and an internship at DONG Energy in Denmark.

Already during my bachelor studies my main focus was on the topic of electrical grids. I wrote my bachelor thesis at the Institute of Power Systems and Power Economics (IAEW) about the assessment of uncertainties in electrical grid expansion planning. In my master thesis, also written at IAEW, I developed a distribution grid model for the simulation of transmission grid operation.
