Welcome to the Institute of Electrical Power Supply with Integration of Renewable Energies (E5). The institute is headed by Mrs. Prof. Dr.-Ing Jutta Hanson and consists of Mrs. Steinmann and Mrs. Ress from the secretariat and about 15 research associates.

Research

The research at the institut E5 focuses on the stability of electrical power systems with an increasing amount of converter based generation as well as the operation management and control of hybrid AC/DC networks. Besides, we deal with the planing and optimization of distribution networks, taking into account energy-optimized districts.
