Module Content Modeling, simulating and planning electrical power networks with a wide range of nominal voltages under
consideration of electrical equipment (overhead lines, cables, transformers, conventional power plants, renewable energies, compensation systems)
Competences The learning targets are the following:
  • Modeling various electrical power systems using appropriate techniques.
  • Choice of static and dynamic simulation techniques after analysing the concrete simulation processes.
  • Understanding the behaviour of various equipment in the electric power system, especially renewable energy resources. Interpretation of results based on the fundamental questions of modeling and simulating electrical power systems.
Prerequisites none
Material Learning material will be available in Moodle (Registration via TUCaN is required!)
Exam The exam date will be announced via Moodle.

Hints:
The registration for the written exam takes place via the TUCaN system. If the registration via TUCaN is not possible, please contact your study office. The participation is only possible after registration. For reasons of spatial planning, this is also necessary for Business Administration/Industrial Engineering students. The registration deadline for the written exams is up to 1 month, and cancellation up to 8 days before the exam date.
